Using My Account:
Creating an Account with the RICS Image Bank will give you the ability to better view and purchase a variety of images currently available in our comprehensive online library. Your account will allow you to; create and edit lightboxes, email and purchase images and browse through the RICS Image Bank at your own leisure.

Registering as a RICS Image Bank user:
The following steps will help you to register as a first time user with the RICS Image Bank:

1. Click on the register link at the top section of the site.
2. An online user registration form will appear on your screen.
3. Complete all the mandatory fields.
4. Click on the register button in order to finalize your registration process.

Welcome! You are now a registered user of the RICS Image Bank.

Signing in:
Once you have registered yourself as an online user, you will be able to sign into the RICS Image Bank.

• To do this you simply need to type in your username and password in the designated section at the top right corner of your screen.
• Click on the sign in button.
• You will now be able to personalize your account details as well as streamline your online image and footage requests.

If you are experiencing difficulty signing in, please ensure that you have correctly entered your username and password (the username and password are case-sensitive).

Updating Profile Information:

1. Click on the My Account link at the top of your screen.
2. Select the ‘Edit Your Profile’ tab.
3. Edit your personal information.
4. Click on the register button in order to preserve the changes that you have made to your profile.

Finding Images:
The search function of the RICS Image Bank website has been developed to simplify and improve your online experience. Our online search application enables you to view and access images with ease.

Standard Search:

• To view images, simply enter your keyword into the search box. Our standard search page will appear after you have submitted your request.
• Through the use of our Standard - or New Search tool you will be able to view a variety of content-specific images on your screen.

The RICS Image Bank has added various functionalities to help simplify your search process. The format and visual specifications of your required images can be selected by ticking the visual theme boxes next to the search box.

New search:
The New Search Function enables you to start a New Search. The results of a New Search can function as a platform from where you will be able to narrow down your current search results.

Search within:
This function will allow you to do a search within the last set of search results displayed on the standard search page.

Bookmarking your search:
You can Bookmark your search results for future reference purposes.

1. Enter a keyword into your search box and select the bookmark search option at the top middle section of your webpage.
2. Type in the keyword of the search result which you would like to bookmark and click on the create button.
3. Your bookmarked searches should now appear on the screen.

(To alternate between having either your lightboxes or bookmarks displayed on your webpage – simply click on the vertical strip labelled as the ‘lightbox quick view bar’ on the left hand section of your screen.)

Emailing your image:
The email search function allows you to email images to friends.

1. Simply follow the normal search criteria and select an image.
2. Click on the email search icon which can be found at the top, middle section of your webpage.
3. Fill in the required information and the recipient’s email address.
4. Click the send button.

Lightboxes
Lightboxes provide an easy and fun way with which you can preview and collect images. An initial Lightbox will automatically be set-up for you during your online registration process. You can personalize and edit your own set of Lightboxes. During the setup process of your Lightbox you will be given the opportunity to create a nametag for your Lightbox. You can create any amount of Lightboxes, enabling you to browse through your images with ease.

Creating a new Lightbox:
An initial Lightbox will automatically be created for you during your registration process. You can add or edit multiple Lightboxes to meet your specific online requirements.

To create a new Lightbox you need simply to enter a keyword into your search criteria. The image results will then be displayed on the standard search result page.

To create a new Lightbox click on the Lightbox icon- this can be found either next to the image or at the bottom of the image, depending on how you would want to view the images.

1. Click on the Lightbox icon.
2. A pop-up box will give you the option of either adding the image to an existing Lightbox or to create a new lightbox in which to add your image.
3. Select the ‘create a lightbox option’ and label your new lightbox.
4. Your newly created Lightbox will now appear on the left hand section of your screen.

Opening a Lightbox:
Individual Lightboxes can be opened and viewed by clicking on the dropdown section under the “my accounts” section in the navigation bar at the top of your webpage. Existing Lightboxes can be viewed by clicking on the ‘Lightbox quickview’.

Adding Images to a Lightbox:
Images and footage can be added to your lightbox from the search result page.

1. Simply click on the lightbox icon found next to the image that you would like to add your lightbox.
2. You will be given the option to create a new lightbox or to add the image to an existing lightbox.

Deleting a Lightbox:
You can delete a Lightbox that is currently open. To delete a Lightbox you must do the following:

1. Select the “My Account” button in the top navigation bar of your screen.
2. Scroll down and select the “My Lightboxes” option.
3. Your existing Lightboxes will now appear on the screen.
4. Click on the delete button next to the Lightbox that you want to delete.

Downloading Images:
We have made the process of downloading images and footage simple and accessible. The images in our library have been compressed to JPEGS in order to speed up the downloading process.

To download a single image for previewing purposes, simply select the image of your choice and click on the ‘download a preview icon’ next to the various properties of the selected image.

It is important to note that the download time will vary depending on the size of the image that you choose to download. Factors like the speed of your internet connectivity and your computer will also determine the time of your download process.

Downloading images after purchase:
After making your purchase, the images will be available for download from the Purchases page. To access them, go to “My Account” section in your top navigation bar and select Purchases.

To download and image after a purchase has been made:

1. Click (PC) or Ctrl-click (Mac) the Download link or icon below the single image you wish to download. This will display a pop-up window.
2. Click the Download button.
3. Click the Save button in the File Download dialog box, choose the location where you want to save the file, then click Save and the download process will begin.

Ordering Images:
Images can be ordered by using your online shopping basket. It is important to make certain that the images that you would like to purchase are readily available in your online shopping basket.

A service fee will be charged for any special service or shipping changes.

Using my Shopping Basket:

1. To secure your images for purchasing purposes, simply click on ‘the add to basket’ icon next to the image that you have selected.
2. The selected image will then automatically be added to your personal shopping basket.
3. The amount of products currently retained in your shopping basket will be displayed in the top right section of your navigation bar.

To purchase your images:

1. Click on the Basket tool at the top right section of your navigation bar.
2. A list of the images that you have selected for purchase will appear on your screen.
3. You will be given the option to remove the items that you do not want to purchase and to check out the images that you want to purchase.
4. Select the check out button.
5. Fill in your payment details accordingly. (You can verify the subtotal of your item purchase on the bottom, right-hand corner of your screen)
6. To finalise you purchase click on the “continue” icon
